CAO is one of the most well known names in cigars. It seems anywhere there is a celebrity smoking a cigar, there is CAO. It is the fastest growing, trendiest, and most popular brand on the market, appealing to a new generation of aficionados and seasoned veterans of the hobby alike. Top ratings [...]

I reviewed a Maudite beer a few nights ago, and I didn’t realize I’d picked up another beer from Unibroue of Quebec. La Fin du Monde is a Belgian style triple fermentation (also [...]

I got together with 500 of my closest friends on 9-11-2008 to ride to a ceremony in Long Beach, honoring those who lost their lives on 9-11-2001. This annual ride started from Cook’s Corner in Trabuco Canyon and ended in Long Beach, California.
Traffic was pretty heavy for parts of the ride, so the group got spread out [...]

I picked a great combination for this evening’s tasting on the balcony.
But before we turn to this night’s tasting, a word about humidors. I have a number of humidors, but none work as well as my large five-drawer model. It seems slightly counterintuitive, but it is far easier to control the humidity in this large [...]
